About us
Documents recorded in this office relate to property located in Lake County. The first Lake County Deed, Deed Volume 1, Page 1 was recorded April 16, 1840. Documents that are submitted for recording, are scanned, indexed and preserved by some of the most modern methods available to allow for secure availability. The fees charged for recording services are set by the State of Ohio.
The duties of the Lake County Recorder are established in the Ohio Revised Code Chapter 317. County Recorders are elected to serve a four-year term by the citizens of their county. Since 1840 there have been 25 Lake County Recorders to date.
As Lake County’s 25th Recorder, it is my sincere, high honor to serve the citizens of our Great Lake County! Please contact me anytime, my door is open and your Recorder is on duty.
