Need A Document Image

The Lake County Recorder has the capability to e-mail images of recorded documents so long as the record exists in a digital format.

Public records requests not available in digital form, will be provided in a hard copy format at the cost of $2.00 per page as required by the Ohio Revised Code. Such funds must be paid in advance or at the time service is rendered as required by the Ohio Revised Code.

Requests for documents to be e-mailed are a public records request and will be addressed as permitted by the Ohio Revised Code and will be fulfilled as available staff time allows to be within a reasonable amount of time. All public records requests will be handled in the order that they are received. The Lake County Recorder has an established formal public records request process. If you do not have the document/instrument number of the deed you are requesting, please contact the Lake County Auditor's office prior to sending your request to this office

What information should I include to assist you in fulfilling my request?
  • Document/instrument number or volume and page. (Requests will only be completed with this information).
  • Party name on the document (Optional)
  • Type of document (Optional)
  • Telephone contact name and telephone number
  • Email address to send the document image(s).
